Our Culture of Giving
We have a long history of giving back, partnering with numerous charities dedicated to animal rights, sustainability, the environment, and much more. By using Paul Mitchell®, you're supporting a company that's helping to change the world, one good deed at a time.
Charities We Support
Plastic Oceans International is a nonprofit organization raising awareness about plastic pollution to inspire behavioral change. Studies find plastic pollutes the air, water and entire food chain, threatening human health, wildlife and the planet. Through solutions-focused films and digital content, Plastic Oceans promotes a global movement to rethink plastic.
The BeeQuilibrium Foundation is dedicated to protecting pollinator habitat, preserving natural resources and saving farmlands.
Waterkeeper® Alliance is the world’s fastest growing environmental movement dedicated to protecting everyone’s right to clean water. We support their efforts to achieve swimmable, drinkable and fishable waterways worldwide through litigation of polluters and regulatory programs that protect our waterways for generations to come.
Reforest’Action is an environmental organization that plants trees worldwide in the areas where they're needed most. We’ve made a pledge with them to plant a total of 750,000 trees by the end of 2019. Over the course of their lifespans, those trees will remove 85,000 tons of CO2 from the atmosphere.
In 2010, Paul Mitchell co-founder John Paul DeJoria teamed up with Berea College to establish Grow Appalachia, a non-profit initiative that helps Appalachian families plant a healthy future. Over the last few years, the organization has produced more than 1.1 million pounds of healthy, organic food for thousands of people in five states.
Sea Shepherd Conservation Society
Sea Shepherd Conservation Society (SSCS) is an international non-profit, marine wildlife conservation organization. We support their mission to end the destruction of habitat and slaughter of wildlife in the world's oceans in order to conserve and protect ecosystems and species.
Baby2Baby provides low-income children ages 0-12 with diapers, clothing and all the basic necessities that every child deserves. Paul Mitchell Vice Chairman Michaeline DeJoria has taken a special interest in being part of this community-minded organization.
We're switching from plastic to paper
From November 2019, we'll be switching our plastic Paul Mitchell® Take Home bags to FSC certified brown paper. And for every bag sold, we'll be donating 5p to a chosen charity.
