Alisa Kress

World Beauty Fitness and Fashion (WBFF)

Alisa Kress is a World Beauty Fitness and Fashion (WBFF) Competitor and a certified personal trainer. In 2011, she competed in her first WBFF competition, placed 1st and earned the coveted Pro Card. Shortly after, she took 5th place in the World Championship, where she competed among top-tier athletes and women she calls mentors. After achieving these remarkable accomplishments, she shifted her professional focus to personal training and found her passion helping women live healthier lives.

Alisa is the first athlete within the fitness industry to represent Paul Mitchell® and a proud curly girl! She wears many hats, including sponsored athlete/spokesmodel, fitness competitor, wife, mother, daughter, friend and small business owner.

We asked Alisa to give us the scoop on her career, inspirations, favorite Paul Mitchell® products and more! Here's what she had to say:

Three words that describe me are…
Energetic, positive and passionate.

I got my start in professional fitness competitions…
After the birth of my second son. I gained 65 pounds with pregnancy. I wanted to reclaim my body and see what I was capable of.

My most significant achievement as an athlete Is…
Placing 5th at the World Championship. I was competing against women I admired and who were on my vision board. It was an amazing experience!

If I wasn’t a professional athlete, I’d be…
A life coach. I love motivating people and helping them see what they are capable of achieving.

The person that inspires me the most is…
My mom. She is an amazing mother, grandmother and my best friend. She has the biggest heart.

When I’m working out, I love to listen to…
The silence. It's honestly the only quiet time I have. It's where I dream.

My hair is…
Unique.

My favorite Paul Mitchell product is…
Twirl Around®. LOVE.

The Paul Mitchell product I always have with me when I travel is…
Super Skinny® Serum. It fights frizz, makes my hair shiny and smells amazing!

The best style advice I ever received was…
Embrace your curls!
