Our hair care routine is such a big part of our life and we don’t even realise it. As long as the products we buy seem to do the job we are happy to keep using them. Whether you are someone who is happy to grab whatever products are on sale or take great pride in the amount of research you do into your routine, how much do you really know about your hair care? We wanted to share the Paul Mitchell message with you and let you know the heritage behind your bottle.

In 1980, Paul Mitchell and John Paul DeJoria, were inspired to create a company that would support the success of hairdressers and provide luxury hair care at an affordable price. With only four products, they launched a revolutionary hair care system. Today their dream is a reality. Paul Mitchell currently produces over 150 products – from award-winning styling and care systems to cutting-edge heat styling tools and professional hair colour – and is available in over 80 countries worldwide.


Paul Mitchell was the first professional beauty company to become cruelty-free ever since it was founded 38 years ago by animal lovers and philanthropists John Paul DeJoria and Paul Mitchell. Never have tested on animals, never will.


Our product development process begins in our state-of-the-art Product Innovation Centre. It's here where our products are researched, formulated and tested (on humans!) to ensure we have the most scientifically innovative hair products for every hair type. From concept to completion, our talented teams work hand-in-hand to perfect every formula and bring our newest systems to life and create a luxurious hair care experience like no other.


Whether we're planting trees, protecting animals or preserving our natural resources, we are (and always have been) dedicated to making our world a more beautiful place.
